Google正式进军商业软件市场

Google之手果然伸向商业软件市场了。
昨天Google宣布了一项计划，除了搜索和广告市场外，它将开始实施Google Apps for Your Domain项目，将Gmail（免费邮箱服务）、Gtalk（语音及文本实时通讯软件）、Google Calendar（日程安排服务）以及Google Page Creator（网页制作软件）等受欢迎的软件继承在服务Google Apps中。
除了搜索服务外，Google的软件一般都是免费的，这次推出的Google Apps for Your Domain也不例外，这对中小企业来说是个福音。今年迟些时候，Google还将推出面向大企业和政府的收费的Google Apps for Your Domain服务，并为其提供存储空间和技术支持。
Google的事业部经理说：“If we do it right, we get the best of both worlds -- very consumer-friendly software, but also low-cost business applications。”
随着Google Writely和Google Spreadsheets的开放注册，Google office的雏形也正在慢慢浮现。说不定哪天打开网页，就会发现Google Apps里集成了Google Office了呢。
